Cabin Life and Meals At Camp

During Sunday registration, Campers and Parents are invited to walk around camp and look at the different cabins.cabin.jpg (45276 bytes) Each cabin houses 10 to 15 children, and one or two counselors. Our cabins are rustic, but are centralized and surround the main section of camp. Once the camper decides which cabin they wish to stay in, and once the camper is called to the recreation hall for registration, the parents and campers complete registration and sign up for classes.

After registration the cabin group goes on a safety tour of camp, completes a swim test, and eats dinner. Campers play New Games with administration staff while counselors attend a health meeting . The children get changed for the evening, and go to our opening campfire ceremony. After the campfire the children have snack  and go back to their cabins to settle down for the night.

Campers are assigned to tribes on their first day at camp. Each tribe works together during tribe duties and participates in afternoon and evening activities. One of the duties of the tribe is to help set tables for meals.

meals.jpg (28171 bytes)We serve three meals daily, and have snack at night. Vegetarian options are available for campers, but they must indicate they are vegetarians on the health form. We also offer alternatives at each meal, and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. The meals served are typical " kids" foods, and are nutritious. Last season campers rated our food as good to excellent!
