Youth will discover the explorer, scientist and inventor within. They will explore the local flora and fauna, track through the fields and forests that surround 4-H camp and discover the world around them. They can participate in classes that identify birds and build birdhouses( during Environmental Stewardship Week), they can explore the bog and all the interesting life that occurs in this unique habitat, or they could take a hiking class to walk the trails around the area.

Children can learn about ecosystems, habitats, local flora and fauna and predator / prey relationships. Environmental Education counselors are specially trained in Project WILD activities to help facilitate the learning process with environmental games and activities.

And we offer classes in camping, where children learn the fundamentals of backpacking, wilderness ethics, and setting up an overnight site in the woods. Most camping classes will stay at a site overnight, depending on weather. Another component of the camping class is outdoor living skills, where campers learn what to do if they are ever lost in the woods or in a survival situation.
