All Camp Activities

beach.jpg (167902 bytes)All camp Capture the Flag, Kangaroo Court, Predator / Prey, Super Slip and Slide or "Miner Forty Niner" are just a few of the large group activities offered each week. These programs provide the whole camp an opportunity to interact and have fun in the spirit of camp. Campers are placed into tribes, and participate in all camp activities together as a group. Tribes also work together for clean up activities and a vesper's play in the evening.

During the day campers go to three classes. These classes range from environmental activities to creative arts. For more information about out classes, please go to the class description section of our site. Campers sign up for which class to go to during registration on Sunday.

Campers also choose daily to go to the waterfront for free swim, have free recreational time to spend with friends and a quiet time in the afternoon to enjoy the camp store.

Every week begins with an opening camp fire to introduce campers and staff. Staff perform skits, sing songs and tell stories around the Manatu.jpg (47226 bytes)campfire. On Thursday we have closing campfire, where all campers and staff can show their talents. The drama class puts on a production, CIT's perform skits and campers can create and perform with their friends on stage. The campfire ends with a candle-lighting ceremony where campers and staff share what 4-H means to them.

Special programs such as Lumberjack Day, Camp Olympics, Camp Fair, and other exciting programs will be offered during theme weeks. Please check out that part of out web site for details.

Every night ends with a snack, a vespers play put on by campers, and taps played over the PA system. day is done.jpg (59145 bytes)
