4-H Camp Sacandaga is a small residential camp nestled The camp is currently owned and operated by the Fulton / Montgomery, Oneida, and Warren County Cornell Cooperative Extension offices. These counties contribute funds, time and resources to help run the facility. The board of Directors is comprised of 4 individuals from each of the contributing counties.
The program has grown to serve 105 children per
week throughout the summer. We offer a traditional one week residential camp experience.
We provide classes in Environmental
Education, Creative Arts, and Aquatics.
In addition we have a cloverbud weekend. This program allows younger children a chance to play at camp, sleep over in a cabin, and explore the natural surroundings around camp. Parents can participate in the activities or watch from the sidelines. This structured program allows parents to see their children in a relaxed setting with their peers. For many of our cloverbuds, this is their first camp experience.
Having the parents attend this session with their children makes this a memorable and
rewarding experience for children and parents alike. If
